Beta Club and Student Council are partnering this year on the Season of Sharing Canned Food Drive that will run from now until December 10th. A color copy of the flier is being hung on each teacher's door, and an electronic copy of it is attached to this email. Please feel free to print and post additional copies in places within your rooms to remind students to bring in their canned food and nonperishable items.
This will be a grade level competition, with the grade level that brings in the most cans getting the spirit stick until our next competition The stick will be held in a teacher's room who teaches mostly one grade level (For example- Bass teaches almost all seniors, so his room would be a possible holding spot if the seniors win).
We will need some help from you to make this a success and help the Pomaria Food Bank replenish their supply of goods.
First block teachers - please allow students to drop their cans off in your classrooms. Student Council members will collect them a few times a week.
If you have a bunch of items and need them picked up before they come around, just email or call Hayes, Joiner, or Rubin and we will get that done for you.
Please remind your students to bring in cans and label them with their grade level.
If the cans are not labeled, to make it simple, student council will put the cans towards the grade level of the majority of your first block students.
All teachers- please encourage your students to bring in items to help. Pomaria Food Bank really relies on us to help them this time of year.
There are also boxes in the foyer of the library where students can drop off canned goods.
If you have any questions, please let me, Dr. Rubin, or Coach Joiner know! Thank you! Mrs. Hayes
